November 2019 Philosophy Think & Drink (Helena)
Big thank you’s to David Nowakowski for facilitating our gathering this month! After posing a handful of questions, our group opted for a discussion about justice — inspired by a recent Grand Street Theatre performance of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, and subsequent movie adaptations, as well as the book. Check out what sorts of things we explored here!

October 2019 Kid’s Halloween Hayride-Philosophy Walk (“Planet Hopping & Star Walking: A Journey into Outer Space”)
Woot-woot! We had such a great time on our annual Halloween Hayride Philosophy Walk! At the insistence of Mother Nature, this year’s outing was bumped to the first weekend of November (due to the weather). But…what a difference a week makes. Our weather was spectacular! Led by our guest storytellers & space travelers for the day, our crew of young philosophers headed off for a fun-filled day of stories, science & art inspired activities, and nature exploration. Check out pictures & all the things we explored here!

October 2019 Philosophy Walk: Story & Imagination Across Cultures
We had so much fun on our October Philosophy Walk. Our group of 15 enjoyed the splendors of Mother Nature on Merlin Nature Preserve and explored the role of story and imagination across cultures. As a special treat, we also got to experience drumming & singing with Shane Doyle, an immersive “imagination cultivation” exercise with Henry Kramer, and to be part of the joyous news delivered by some of our walk-goers that (as of the morning of the walk) they had become new grandparents! What a great way to start a story!!! Access audio recordings & photos from the walk here!
September 2019 Philosophy Think & Drink (Missoula)
Our September Think & Drink was a lively one! Consisting of philosophy students and alum from from U of M, UMT, and community members, our group started about by a number of questions…settling on “What are holidays? What does it do for us to break up the year/time with them?”…and eventually moving into a a discussion about a series of other questions. Check out what we explored & photos here!
