Dan Fouts of Teach Different — an awesome organization based out of Chicago behind the “Teach Different Method” and social impact initiative “The Conversation Project” — and Merlin team members Mitch Conway & Marisa Diaz-Waian are teaming up to lead a workshop on process and questioning at this year’s Public Philosophy Network Conference.  In addition to kicking up some philosophical dust together…all three also serve on the academic advisory board for The Philosophy Learning & Teaching Organization, where their collaboration efforts as a trio first began!

Workshop Synopsis

Whether mundane or mysterious, time-honored or new, a technology implores us to ask the question: what’s up with this thing?  In this interactive workshop, we’ll do just that by using claims, counterclaims, and guiding questions to explore different entry points for thinking about technology (as well as thinking about our thinking about technology).  Participants will leave with a practical, flexible exercise for exploring philosophical concepts, sharpening metacognitive skills, and building conversational dexterity.
